Business as unusual

TASMAN

TECH

Tasman Analytics helps growing companies make better decisions through data. They enter organisations as a fractional data team, structure fragmented data and connect insights directly to business impact. But the goal isn't simply to build better data infrastructure. It's to build the capability clients need to eventually manage without them.

From data infrastructure to business impact

Our research with founders and senior leads revealed where Tasman’s real difference lay. While much of the category focuses on data engineering, Tasman starts with the business: outcomes before infrastructure, measurable ROI before technical perfection.
The brand didn't make that difference clear enough. Caught somewhere between technical consultancy and strategic advisory, it needed a sharper position and a clearer role for everyone from decision makers looking for control, to data leaders needing reliability and talent drawn to Tasman’s culture.

A better way through complexity

We repositioned Tasman around the idea of the navigator: turning data noise into business direction and helping clients find a better way forward. That thinking also led to Business as unusual, a content concept built around what Tasman does differently. Building capability rather than dependency. Prioritising business value over technical vanity. And challenging some of the conventions of the category along the way.

An identity made to navigate

The navigator became the thread running through the identity. We defined a verbal identity around Explorer: curious but bold, insightful but direct.
Visually, we evolved the identity to feel more systematic, flexible and digitally native. Typography and colour created a clearer hierarchy, while a more rationalised UI brought order to complexity. Motion and animation drew on the flow of data and the idea of navigation. Across imagery, structure and interaction, the choices all came back to the same idea: helping people find their way through complexity.

Built to help clients get on

The result is a more coherent expression of the business Tasman has become: forward-thinking without losing credibility, technically accomplished without getting lost in the technical. A brand built to help Tasman stand out, and its clients get on.
