AI changes how we work. It does not change what we deliver. This policy describes how we approach AI in practice: what we do, what we don’t do, and why. Honesty is our starting point. The AI conversation is full of overstatement in both directions. 
We take a different route. What AI genuinely delivers today:    • High-quality text and copywriting, given clear instructions and human review.    • Code and web development. AI is strong at generating, iterating and debugging technical solutions.    • Repetitive and structured tasks: scaling, variants, format adaptations. What AI does not deliver today:    • Design at a professional level. Design requires judgement, cultural reading and aesthetic integrity that AI does not have. We do not use AI to create design. How we work. Every assignment starts with a simple question: can this be done with AI without compromising quality? If the answer is yes, we explore it. If the answer is no, or if the result doesn’t meet our standard, we do it manually. 
 We always try the AI route first. That ensures we realise every saving that’s possible, but never at the expense of the deliverable. 
 In practice, it typically looks like this:    • The project begins manually. Strategy, concept and design direction require 
human competence and cannot be delegated. 
    • Once the structure is in place, AI can take over for production, variants, code, 
copy and iteration.    • Human review throughout. No AI-generated material is delivered without 
sign-off from a responsible member of the Essen team. On cost efficiency. We don’t promise more than we can deliver. AI can reduce costs in a project. How much depends on the nature of the assignment, the ambition level and how large a proportion of the work is suited to AI assistance. We communicate an estimate on a per-project basis, not as generic percentages. What we can promise is that we always explore the possibility of AI assistance, and that whatever saving is achievable will be realised.
