For the last couple of months, we have had the opportunity to work with a dream client, Vår Gård Saltsjöbaden. A hotel, or more like a historic oasis, with an impressive art collection showcasing some of Sweden’s most famous artists and a breathtaking location right by the sea. Oh, sweet Nordic paradise. The main house, Villa Skärtofta, was built as a private residence in 1897 and was later acquired by KF (Kooperativa Förbundet) to be used as teaching premises for their merchants. Over time the premises have grown and turned into an interesting concoction of old and modern architecture. Our task has been to develop a new brand identity representing both the old heritage and today’s modern facilities. The new identity is meant to convey the unescapable warmth and hospitality that greets when you first arrive at the hotel. We have created a new logotype, new colors and two new fonts, all of which are now showcased on a new website designed and developed by yours truly.
This is a gem of a hotel and just a solid gem in the bigger scheme of gems. Words and pictures could never do justice to the etherealness of this place. You will have to go and experience it in the flesh. So go ahead and book your next meeting at: www.vargard.se
